About Aleena
As a first-generation South Asian student and native New Yorker, she understands the complexities of balancing multiple identities and
expectations — and brings that understanding to her work.
She especially enjoys working with women and young adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, and the stress of balancing personal, family, and cultural expectations.
Aleena believes therapy should feel like a genuine, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable showing up as themselves. Together, she and her clients slow down, explore emotions and experiences, and work through challenges at a pace that feels right — without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.
Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and culturally responsive. She is particularly drawn to psychodynamic and interpersonal approaches that help clients understand how past experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns shape the way they see themselves and connect with others. Every person’s path is different, and Aleena aims to create a space that feels authentic, comfortable, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
